• Take ownership of a designated federal customer or market lane and cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Establish and maintain direct engagement with program, mission, technical, and acquisition stakeholders.
• Recognize customer priorities, mission requirements, acquisition schedules, competitive dynamics, and potential areas for growth.
• Drive the qualification of opportunities and the development of pursuits from initial indicators through to proposal submission and award.
• Formulate capture strategies, customer engagement plans, competitive analyses, value propositions, win themes, teaming strategies, and pursuit briefings.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, pricing, recruiting, and proposal stakeholders to ensure that pursuit strategies are credible, actionable, and aligned with customer needs.
• Assist in the creation of RFIs, white papers, oral presentation materials, proposal contributions, and other customer-facing documents.
• Partner with proposal operations to ensure that proposal content accurately reflects customer understanding, adheres to compliance standards, and presents an executable solution approach.
• Identify and cultivate teaming relationships that enhance customer access, capability alignment, past performance coverage, or execution strength.
• Provide clear updates to Growth leadership regarding pipeline status, customer engagement, pursuit progress, risks, and suggested next steps.
• Advise on whether to advance, pause, reshape, or discontinue pursuits based on evidence, customer access, competitive stance, and feasibility of execution.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• A minimum of seven years in federal business development, capture, client engagement, or related growth roles.
• Proven experience in supporting or leading federal pursuits through various stages of the opportunity lifecycle, including customer engagement, qualification, capture, proposal development, and award.
• Experience in securing prime federal opportunities with an approximate total contract value of $50M or similar complexity.
• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition processes, competitive positioning, pre-RFP engagement, teaming, pricing inputs, proposal development, and bid/no-bid decision support.
• Demonstrated capacity to engage directly with customers and translate customer insights into pursuit strategies.
• Experience in developing capture plans, win themes, value propositions, competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and executive briefings.
• Familiarity with working alongside proposal teams on storyboards, color team reviews, compliance requirements, and non-price proposal narratives.
• Ability to coordinate efforts across technical, operational, recruiting, pricing, and proposal teams while maintaining clear ownership of pursuits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to executives with clarity, judgment, and precision.
• Willingness and capability to travel for customer meetings, industry events, partner discussions, and internal meetings as needed.
