This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Accountable for steering the strategy for significant, strategic accounts, which includes driving and coordinating sales execution and relationship-building activities.
• Required to have a thorough understanding of the business strategies, drivers, goals, and initiatives of large account clients, translating these into selling opportunities for Gartner.
• Establish and nurture executive relationships with clients to become their trusted advisor.
• Responsible for account management aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering retention and account growth.
• Hold quota responsibility aligned with designated strategic accounts.
• Exhibit mastery and consistent application of Gartner’s internal sales methodology.
• Skilled in large account planning and knowledgeable about territory management.
• Oversee forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintain competitive awareness and focus.
• Hold fiscal responsibility related to expense management.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services.
• 10-15 years of external experience demonstrating proven success in consultative sales.
• Ideally, experience in high technology sectors (services, software, or hardware).
• Capability to prospect and manage relationships with C-level and senior executives within large multinational corporations.
• Strong display of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
• Proven track record in building excellent client relationships while providing value-added, insightful, and strategic insights into their business.
• Established ability to comprehend enterprise-wide issues and to devise innovative, integrated solutions that offer IT decision support to global organizations.
• Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers.
• Extensive and pertinent industry knowledge, particularly within vertical markets specific to the territory.
• Strong proficiency in computer skills.
• Exceptional written and oral/presentation skills.
• Capable of developing and delivering effective presentations to contract decision-makers (C-level).
• Familiarity with the entire sales process lifecycle, from prospecting to closing.
• Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic success.
• A Master’s or advanced degree is a plus.
