This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees and directs the entire project implementation lifecycle to successfully deliver various projects and initiatives.
• Ensures effective, precise, and consistent communication with project teams, management, external clients, and vendors.
• Guides project teams in their activities.
• Facilitates and directs project resources through the work breakdown process to outline tasks, durations, efforts, and dependencies to create a robust implementation schedule.
• Collaborates with technology leaders to comprehend interdependencies and lead times, identifying project resources and devising a comprehensive schedule.
• Drives and coordinates project team members from various disciplines, assigns individual responsibilities, and leads team meetings to guarantee the achievement of delivery objectives.
• Maintains project documentation; ensures all project documents are complete, up-to-date, and properly archived.
• Generates and disseminates project reports and communications; engages with the technology team, project sponsors, stakeholders, functional area managers, and/or consultants regarding the status of specific tasks.
• Coordinates the various integration elements of assigned projects, including project plan development, execution, and overall change control; develops a highly technical, detailed project plan encompassing all work necessary to successfully complete both internal and client-facing projects.
• Serves as the primary point of contact and manages the expectations of key sponsors and client executive staff concerning timing, functionality, and business objectives essential for a successful go-live.
• Takes responsibility, resolves conflicts within the group, and grants final approval for the entire project on behalf of all stakeholders; troubleshoots project issues and escalates them to upper management when needed.
• Conducts lessons learned sessions and participates in root cause analysis discussions.
• Ensures project information is communicated promptly through communication planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and administrative closure.
• Collaborates effectively with other project managers, various subcontracting partners, external consulting firms, customer resources, contractors, and other third-party providers, ensuring that project quality standards are met.
• Organizes project meetings, including kick-off and specification meetings.
• Travels to client locations to discuss specifications, business objectives, and project options; facilitates meetings with key client personnel, including IT for network connectivity and file mapping.
• Maintains interaction with credit unions, MasterCard, VISA, and other processors, software vendors, and ATM networks for coordinating products/projects.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the payment processing card industry, card processing systems and subsystems, and/or related in-house applications, along with a primary understanding of system parameters and regional ATM networks.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required.
• At least 3 years in a client-facing role is required.
• A minimum of 3 years in the financial services industry with a focus on card processing and payment solutions is preferred.
• Experience leading client-facing projects and in card processing is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
• Familiarity with various project methodologies is required.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Project Management tools is necessary.
• Understanding of debit and credit card processing and supporting financial technology products is essential.
• Strong facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills; ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to give presentations with various audiovisual support aids.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; capable of negotiating and influencing others across all organizational levels, including senior executives, to make sound business decisions.
• Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 25%.
