This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Manage and promptly address inquiries from clients and/or their representatives concerning questions, report statuses, concerns, or general requests for information.
• Employ appropriate systems and databases to input client or claimant information and retrieve necessary data.
• Maintain consistent communication with the QA department regarding workflow and the status of pending reports.
• Reach out to providers for assignment and update the database accordingly.
• Organize and archive both open and closed cases.
• Ensure all client information is up-to-date in the database and that all client-specific guidelines, rules, or information are documented in the system.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively with team members to ensure questions are addressed, documented, and cases are completed promptly.
• Redirect calls to other departments as required.
• Carry out various clerical tasks, including typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading.
• Aid in resolving customer complaints and quality assurance issues.
• Inform management of any report-related issues or concerns.
• Ensure that all practices comply with state and federal safety and legal regulations.
• Execute other assigned duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or insurance industry is preferred.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of general computer operations, fax machines, copiers, scanners, and telephones.
• Proficiency in multiple software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet, is necessary.
• Must be capable of being trained on and complying with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
• Must be a qualified typist with a minimum typing speed of 40 W.P.M.
• Must exhibit accuracy, thoroughness, and accountability for work quality, along with the ability to proactively identify improvements.
• Must possess exceptional communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Must be able to foster and promote a positive team-oriented environment.
