This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Inspire and engage high school students regarding careers in skilled trades.
• Set up and manage the various interactive stations and simulators on the trailer.
• Drive the event Tractor/Trailer (referred to as the "Mobile Workshop") to different event and school locations.
• Execute daily events and assist in packing up for the next day's activities alongside a Brand Ambassador.
• Ensure that the event trailer and all interactive exhibits and simulators are clean, safe, functional, and ready for events.
• Convey the Be Pro Be Proud message to all participating students during events.
• Assist students with the interactive features of the trailer, accommodating around 25-30 students per class and approximately 150 students daily.
• Dismantle the trailer and pack exhibits at the end of each event day.
• Collaborate with the point of contact at each school/event site to ensure proper planning for the day's activities.
• Comprehensive training will be provided, covering safe operation of the event trailer, management of all simulators and technology onboard, talking points, ELDs, and more.
• Must be an exceptionally safe driver for over-the-road transportation.
• Strong commitment to safety and an eagerness to be part of and promote our safety culture.
• Must be a resident of Florida and currently reside in the state.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A passion for working with high school students (being "young at heart" is beneficial, regardless of age).
• Ability to engage students and generate enthusiasm around careers in various skilled trades.
• A valid Class A CDL driver's license with a clean driving record and a valid DOT Medical Certificate is mandatory.
• Preferred: 2 years of Class A driving experience with 53' trailers.
• Must possess a Class A CDL from the state of Florida.
• Must have a clean criminal and motor vehicle background (important as you will be working with young individuals on school premises).
• Some schools and/or school districts may require additional background checks before your arrival on-site.
• Experience in moving and setting up custom expandable event trailers is highly preferred.
• Comfortable with limited public speaking in front of small groups and engaging with students aged 13 to 18.
• Strong client service skills and a desire to help our clients achieve their goals and positively impact the community.
• Excellent and positive customer service skills (communicating kindly is essential).
• Comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and technological issues with support from SPEVCO’s experts.
• Ability to self-manage and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient computer skills – capable of using a tablet computer (Android-based), email, MS Suite, and various web-based applications including ELDs.
• Willingness to maintain a "show-ready" clean and safe vehicle and exhibit.
