Class A CDL Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Instruct students on CDL knowledge through virtual classroom sessions that emphasize permit preparation and driving theory.

• Offer detailed guidance on CDL subjects, covering safety regulations and FMCSA-related requirements.

• Ensure students are well-prepared to meet CDL permit testing standards.

• Advocate for safety and professionalism in all teaching methods.

• Monitor student attendance and engagement, providing assistance when necessary.

• Keep accurate documentation, including attendance and progress reports.

• Facilitate clear communication and support to enhance students' understanding of the course material.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of the state for which you are applying or have secured relocation accommodations.

• Hold a valid CDL Class A license with at least 24 months of confirmed tractor-trailer driving experience.

• Maintain a clean driving record and the ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing.

• Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Zoom, Canvas, and Microsoft Outlook.

• Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to manage a virtual classroom effectively.

• Capability to stay organized and oversee multiple students in an online setting.

• Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or training drivers is preferred.

• Driver Training Instructor certification (if mandated by the state, we provide assistance for certification) is preferred.

• Familiarity with virtual instruction or online learning platforms is preferred.

• Understanding of FMCSA regulations and CDL permit prerequisites is preferred.
