Class 4 Industrial Estimator, Capital Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creating Class 3 and Class 4 capital cost estimates for manufacturing, warehouse, and facility expansion initiatives.

• Generating comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns across various engineering disciplines — including equipment, civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.

• Developing, enhancing, and managing estimating methods and tools for the organization.

• Assessing engineering drawings, specifications, scope of work documents, bid packages, and vendor/contractor quotes for precision and thoroughness.

• Engaging directly with business stakeholders, the design team, and project engineers to define and estimate capital projects.

• Investigating and confirming market pricing, labor rates, and equipment costs to ensure that estimates are up-to-date and justifiable.

• Delivering estimates to internal stakeholders and leadership with clarity and assurance.

• Traveling to manufacturing and distribution locations (~30%) for site visits specific to projects — typical durations are 2–3 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of combined engineering and cost estimating expertise.

• Proven experience with Class 4 estimations for industrial projects.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline) or Construction Management is required.

• Demonstrated experience with Class 3 and Class 4 estimation for industrial and manufacturing projects.

• Experience in estimating high-budget industrial/manufacturing projects valued at $20 million or more.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. — sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Practical experience with industry-standard estimating software — such as ProEst, Procore, RS Means, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
