This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide leadership and support to the claims manager.
• Supervise the work conducted by the Commercial Transportation Claims adjusting team.
• Balance management duties with individual claim-handling tasks as necessary.
• Establish and uphold best practices for claim intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.
• Ensure alignment of the team with client and customer expectations.
• Act as a resource for escalated claims.
• Promote a positive work atmosphere, teamwork, and professional development.
• Assist in attracting, hiring, retaining, and training talent.
• Serve as the acting leader in the absence of the Manager/Director.
• Manage initial onboarding, access tasks, and cultural immersion for new hires.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for first-line inquiries, escalations, and roundtable discussions.
• Exercise increased reserve and payment authority while aiding with moderate reviews.
• Identify relevant topics and trends for team huddles and Elevated Claims Experience Workshops.
• Function as a Customer Obsession Champion.
• Prepare and deliver claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers.
• Provide guidance to clients on claim trends and loss mitigation strategies.
• Assist in creating a technology-driven claims organization and minimize administrative tasks for adjusters.
• Over 5 years of experience in insurance claims across various lines of business.
• Experience in bodily injury and property damage claims.
• An active adjuster license is mandatory: a resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license.
• More than 3 years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing in a remote environment is preferred.
• Comfortable with technology and adapting to evolving claims systems and processes.
• Ability to utilize technology and analytics to enhance efficiencies and outcomes.
• Proven commitment to quality, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong integrity, ethics, and accountability when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
• Capacity to transition between claims handling, coaching, and providing feedback.
• Agile mindset with the ability to adapt swiftly.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed goals and navigate challenges.
• Capability to implement and sustain best practices in claims handling.
• Ability to align teams with client and customer expectations.
