
Claims Processing Specialist – Fixed Term

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Process financial support claims for clients and employers, ensuring compliance with contractual and legislative requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance for claims and invoices handled by Service Provider personnel.
• Respond to staff inquiries related to claims and administrative matters.
• Communicate issues concerning ineligible claims following established processes.
• Provide support and guidance to staff on claims processing along with contractual and guideline requirements.
• Monitor emerging trends in claims assessment and report them to the Claims Manager.
• Adjust activities in response to evolving requirements and business needs.
• Appropriately address discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.
• Direct staff to the relevant team members or internal partners.
• Identify and manage risks, escalating non-standard or high-risk transactions or activities.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of WCG’s contracts, guidelines, policies, and processes.
• Perform standard and ad hoc data entry tasks as needed.
• Utilize WCG’s Case Management System along with other systems and databases effectively.
• Collaborate closely with the Claims Manager and Financial Quality and Support Specialist to ensure accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and ongoing quality improvement.
• Strong background in auditing.
• Experience in data entry.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a service-oriented organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Capacity to work in a highly confidential environment.
• Ability to maintain composure in challenging and high-pressure situations.
• Results-oriented mindset with innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating workloads.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Employment Services industry is preferred.
