Civil/Structural Engineering Manager – Electrical Substations

📋 Description

• Supervise direct reports, sub-disciplines, and contractors in the civil engineering design for various projects.

• Provide guidance and direction to lead civil engineers during both the project initiation phase and the execution phase.

• Ensure effective management of interfaces with partners and primary suppliers.

• Allocate necessary civil engineering resources for the successful execution of projects.

• Create quality procedures, processes, and organize knowledge capitalization to enhance engineering efficiency.

• Oversee, lead, and coordinate the civil engineering team, aligning design efforts among discipline managers.

• Responsible for civil engineering design budgets, adherence to schedules, management of technical change orders, and quality assurance on ongoing projects.

• Ensure that civil engineers adhere to the Quality Management System and Code of Conduct.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Over 15 years of experience in high voltage substation civil/structural design, including EPC projects.

• More than 5 years of experience in leading a substation civil engineering team.

• Professional Engineering License in the United States and a willingness to review and seal drawings.

• Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time, including internationally, and must adhere to all relevant company travel and tax policies.
