Civil Technician 1 – Construction Craft Labor, Travel Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Execute fundamental construction activities such as racking and panel assembly, hand digging trenches, backfilling, and organizing materials.

• Support journeyworker tradespeople, including laborers, masons, and equipment operators.

• Load and unload construction supplies, tools, and machinery.

• Prepare and sanitize construction sites by clearing debris and hazardous materials.

• Mix, pour, and distribute concrete and other construction substances.

• Raise and take down scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary frameworks.

• Utilize basic hand and power tools under supervision.

• Adhere to safety protocols and consistently wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Conduct basic measurements and calculations.

• Notify about any project delays.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Capability to follow directions and work independently or collaboratively within a team.

• Strong work ethic with a willingness to acquire new skills.

• Basic familiarity with construction tools and equipment is advantageous.

• Physical endurance and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy items and working in diverse weather conditions.

• Ability to comply with safety standards and practices.

• OSHA 10 Certification.
