• Conduct fieldwork on a rotation schedule of 20 days on, 8 days off.
• Lead and implement foundation projects effectively.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
• 2–5+ years of pertinent field experience in civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects (experience in transmission, substations, or energy projects is advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, including earthworks, foundations, grading, drainage, and access road construction.
• Proficient in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Capable of interpreting geotechnical reports and applying findings in the field.
• Familiar with quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) processes and documentation.
• Experience in coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the skill to make effective decisions in a dynamic field environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is a plus.
• Willingness and capability to travel to project sites and work in remote or outdoor settings under varying weather conditions.
