This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will assist project teams in the economic evaluation of construction projects and collaborate with executive management to enhance the company’s claims and change-order management processes.
• Claims and change orders: You will evaluate contractual discrepancies and prepare the necessary claim submissions.
• Documentation review: You will analyze bills of quantities, contracts, and tender documents.
• Claim potential identification: You will assess economic opportunities throughout project execution.
• Contract-related communication: You will prepare notices of hindrance (delay notifications) and other essential correspondence.
• Costing and evaluation: You will conduct financial assessments of claims and assist in determining prices.
• Project team collaboration: You will coordinate with project managers, site managers, and clients.
• Negotiation preparation: You will assist in claims negotiations and eventually conduct negotiations independently.
• Area development: You will actively contribute to the shaping and optimization of the company’s claims processes.
• A degree in construction-related studies, such as Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering; alternatively, advanced training as a construction technician or an equivalent technical qualification.
• A solid technical understanding of construction processes and an interest in economic and financial interrelationships.
• Knowledge of VOB/B and an understanding of contractual contexts.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Fluent in German for effective internal and external communication.
• Nice to have: Initial professional experience in the main construction sector.
• Experience in estimating, site management, construction accounting, or claims/change-order management.
• Familiarity with bills of quantities and scope-of-work documents.
• Strong negotiation skills in interactions with clients.
