Civil Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Become a part of AECOM’s Transportation Department located in Greenville, South Carolina.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to create engineering solutions from the initial concept phase through detailed design and construction.

• Design and evaluate stormwater management systems for site development projects.

• Size and create designs for stormwater detention and retention basins.

• Prepare drainage calculations and comprehensive reports.

• Review stormwater regulations at municipal, county, and state levels.

• Coordinate with site civil designers to integrate drainage requirements into site layouts.

• Perform segments of larger assignments under moderate supervision.

• Collect and correlate foundational engineering data using established methods.

• Execute engineering calculations and conduct relatively straightforward tests.

• Suggest strategies for addressing new challenges and identify inconsistencies in results.

• Offer mentorship to entry-level engineers.

• Create models and plan sheets utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Design roadways and general site development projects.

• Generate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.

• Develop technical specifications for contractors.

• Operate within established budgets and timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering along with 2 years of relevant civil engineering experience or a proven equivalency of education and/or experience.

• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of the hire date.

• United States Citizenship is required.

• A valid US Driver’s License is necessary.

• Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

• Background in designing roadways or general site development is advantageous.

• Experience in developing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates is preferred.

• Familiarity with creating technical specifications for contractors is preferred.
