This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Instruct undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering program.
• Provide traditional lecture-based teaching as well as instruction within integrated laboratory course components.
• Cover essential subjects such as geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics, air pollution and control, and hydrology.
• May teach additional civil engineering topics based on individual expertise.
• Combine technical civil engineering education with an active Christian faith.
• Offer instruction throughout the academic year as instructional demands arise.
• M.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with licensure as a registered Professional Engineer (PE); or a B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field, accompanied by licensure as a registered Professional Engineer (PE), plus a minimum of 10 years of licensed professional engineering experience in a relevant civil engineering area.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively convey subject matter to students and engage with both students and colleagues.
• Dedication to integrating biblical principles both inside and outside the classroom.
• Must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
• Agreement with and willingness to adhere to Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and general Workplace Standards.
• Subject to verification of credentials and other information as mandated by law and Cedarville University policies.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Temporary, part-time adjunct positions available during the academic year as instructional needs arise.
• Possibility of remote work in certain states, excluding California and Hawaii.
