This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
β’ Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and create personalized treatment plans.
β’ Deliver psychopharmacological treatments when suitable.
β’ Oversee ongoing medication management for both outpatient and residential substance use patients.
β’ Assess the effectiveness of medications and monitor any side effects.
β’ Provide psychoeducation to both patients and their families.
β’ Connect medical and behavioral health personnel utilizing evidence-based, trauma-informed practices.
β’ Collaborate with colleagues, case coordinators, and community partners.
β’ Share expertise in telemedicine policies and best practices.
β’ Engage in clinical consultations and collaborative efforts that enhance patient care.
β’ Keep thorough and precise records in line with professional standards.
β’ Adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
β’ M.D. or D.O. with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
β’ Iowa medical licensure (or eligibility to obtain one).
β’ Valid DEA registration.
β’ National Provider Identifier (NPI).
β’ Proficient in using telemedicine platforms to provide care to rural and satellite locations.
β’ Dedicated to treating individuals with dignity, respect, and a belief in their potential.
β’ Minimum experience level as stated in the job posting.
β’ Primarily weekday outpatient schedule with no evening, weekend, or on-call duties.
β’ Flexibility to work remotely.
