Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop precise diagnoses, and create customized treatment plans that cater to each developmental phase.

• Apply established therapeutic methods and medication management approaches to effectively treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring interventions are safe and appropriate.

• Cultivate a collaborative treatment atmosphere by educating families on mental health matters, engaging them in care planning, and offering advice on supportive practices at home.

• Conduct virtual psychiatric sessions, guaranteeing a high-quality and supportive experience, and utilize technology to facilitate ongoing communication with members and their families.

• Actively engage in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and offer consultative assistance to fellow team members to ensure comprehensive member care.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Utilize data analytics to evaluate outcomes and continually enhance care quality.

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and quality standards, pursue ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist holding an active license in at least one state.

• Preferred experience in providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual setting (video and teletherapy), though not mandatory.

• Proficiency in computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).

• Proven skills in family engagement and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

• Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines, along with competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
