This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief People Officer (CPO) will architect and maintain a people strategy that supports scalable growth, operational performance, and regulatory confidence within a value-based healthcare setting.
• Inspire and facilitate growth from a workforce of 300 individuals serving members across 3 states to over 1,000 personnel delivering care in five states within the next 3 to 4 years.
• Develop people systems and collaborate with the CEO to nurture MedZed’s culture, enhance leadership capabilities, and improve the employee experience.
• Ensure that workforce decisions are data-driven, aligned with business outcomes, and supported by a robust, measurable culture.
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to guarantee that MedZed’s “people plan” aligns with business objectives while managing change effectively.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in HR and people leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with CEOs and executives.
• Strong proficiency in people analytics, HRIS, and learning strategies.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is highly preferred to showcase expertise.
• Experience in the healthcare sector or regulated environments.
• In-depth understanding of labor and hour regulations in complex states, including California.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• 25-30% travel is required.
