Chief Operating Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring profitability and fostering growth.

• Guarantee that customer needs are effectively met.

• Build and maintain relationships with network providers, local employers, and contractors; facilitate successful development and execution of business strategies.

• Create and implement strategic and tactical plans to drive further growth and advancement of the business unit, while ensuring favorable financial outcomes.

• Supervise the formulation and execution of operational plans, including employee development, organizational objectives, and goals for member and provider relations.

• Define criteria for measuring and evaluating the success and performance of each operational component.

• Ensure the establishment and maintenance of an appropriate provider network.

• Cultivate effective relationships with key stakeholders to educate both providers and consumers on essential subjects.

• Formulate and articulate operational mission statements, philosophies, policies, goals, objectives, and strategies.

• Provide management with all necessary contractual information regarding state and federal regulatory agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.

• A Master's Degree is preferred.

• Over 7 years of senior-level managed care experience, ideally as a plan operating officer and/or executive director, is required.

• Familiarity with managed care and/or Medicaid is essential.

• Prior management experience that includes responsibilities for hiring, training, work assignment, and performance management of staff is necessary.
