Chief Operating Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and continuously enhance the firm's proprietary risk system, establishing checks and balances to mitigate founder-led, opportunistic decision-making.

• Create and implement a technology-driven, compliance-oriented operational framework.

• Facilitate governance across the shareholder network, internal operations, and investment entities.

• Manage capital calls, distributions, fund-level reporting, liquidity, and banking partnerships.

• Ensure that operations comply with Colombian financial regulations and satisfy cross-border institutional investor requirements.

• Collaborate closely with the Technology Leader to advocate for AI-driven automation in investment and management processes.

• Act as the operational point of contact for institutional limited partners during both the due diligence phase and ongoing reporting.

• Assist in scaling a small, highly trusted, and low-turnover team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in operations, finance, or risk leadership within alternative asset management, private equity, real estate funds, or a regulated financial institution.

• Direct experience with institutional limited partner due diligence, pension funds, insurance companies, or comparable allocators.

• Proficiency in fund operations, including capital calls, waterfall structures, fund administration, and cross-border vehicle structuring.

• Proven track record in establishing risk, compliance, or governance functions from the ground up.

• Comfort in cross-border operations, particularly in Colombia, the US, Spain, and Central America.

• A genuine interest in technology and AI-enhanced operational processes.
