This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with Gavin Wood, the Founder of Parity, to convert vision, objectives, and concepts into actionable decisions, coordinated teams, and effective execution.
• Oversee the Founder’s context, priorities, and follow-through on initiatives.
• Proactively anticipate the Founder’s needs and offer support when it is crucial.
• Implement structure amidst conflicting ideas, unclear directives, and changing priorities while sustaining progress.
• Analyze second- and third-order consequences of existing decisions.
• Facilitate cross-departmental problem-solving efforts.
• Engage with engineering leadership to propel operational advancements.
• Design and manage OKRs, technical evaluations, and decision-making rhythms for the Founder’s leadership team.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Directors throughout the organization.
• Align the Founder’s priorities with the execution of the Acceleration team.
• Tailor communication to suit C-Level executives, Function Leads, and junior staff.
• A background in engineering or engineering management is essential.
• Technical credibility to engage with CTO-level leaders, assess timelines, and evaluate the feasibility of technical initiatives.
• A solid understanding of the blockchain ecosystem to differentiate between genuine substance and hype.
• Proven experience in leading complex, cross-functional programs at a senior level.
• Ideally, prior experience in team leadership or as a company founder.
• Capability to bring clarity to ambiguity, manage without direct authority, and drive decisions in intricate organizations.
• Experience in managing leaders, including junior managers, is a significant advantage.
• Outstanding, clear, and adaptable communication skills.
• Proficiency in effective communication with a demanding Founder, Function Leads, and junior team members.
• Long-term perspective regarding decisions and their implications over a span of 12 to 24 months.
• A genuine interest in and curiosity about Web3.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic and uncertain organizational environment.
• While a high-caliber degree is emphasized, no specific degree is strictly required; an exceptional track record may suffice.
• Must pass a third-party background check through Zinc upon receiving an offer.
• Must keep the camera on during interviews without a virtual background.
