This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Collaborate with the Chief Safety Officer, the EHSS Strategy and Operations Leader, and the EHSS Leadership Team to convert priorities into cohesive execution plans and measurable results.
• Create and maintain EHSS governance forums, performance reviews, and mechanisms for executive engagement.
• Direct the preparation of executive and Board materials, providing insights and forward-looking risk assessments.
• Oversee the management of enterprise EHSS performance, enhancing metrics and accountability.
• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives that promote the operationalization of Life Saving Rules, contractor risk management, serious injury prevention, and employee wellbeing.
• Integrate security and crisis leadership governance along with structured learning across various regions.
• Promote Lean maturity within the function.
• Link regional EHSS leaders with enterprise strategies and emerging risks.
• Support the EHSS talent strategy and the development of capabilities.
• Maintain the global EHSS operating rhythm, emphasizing clarity, accountability, and disciplined execution.
• Facilitate Executive and Board reporting on safety, security, and wellbeing performance.
• Enhance EHSS governance, lean metrics, and leading indicators.
• Elevate Lean maturity through standard work practices, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster alignment across EHSS, Operations, HR, Legal, Security, and Sourcing departments.
• Drive initiatives that improve employee safety, contractor performance, and organizational resilience.
• 5–10 years of experience in operations, EHS, engineering, manufacturing, Lean, supply chain, risk management, consulting, digital transformation, or related areas within matrix organizations.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives from strategy formulation through to execution.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to convert data into insights suitable for executive presentation.
• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership audiences.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics, predictive risk tools, or operational digitization.
• Digital fluency, including familiarity with analytics tools, dashboards, or data visualization techniques.
• A sense of ownership and comfort in high-visibility environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; degrees in engineering, business, environmental, health, technology, or related fields are preferred.
• This position requires travel, including onsite attendance for meetings as necessary.
• Experience in supporting executive leadership or Board reporting processes is advantageous.
• Exposure to Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with crisis management or resilience planning is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CSP, PMP, or equivalent are preferred.
