Chief of Staff

📋 Description

• Comprehensive strategic planning: Facilitate corporate roadmaps, align foundational leadership objectives, and guide structured problem-solving on complex, high-stakes trade-off discussions.

• Strategic and operational gap analysis: Continuously assess scaling bottlenecks within the organization, assisting leadership in prioritizing the most impactful issues to resolve and systematically delegating or nurturing the remaining tasks.

• Optimization of corporate operating rhythm: Design, govern, and refine executive meeting schedules, agendas, and communication processes to enhance leadership alignment and efficiency.

• Performance visibility and investor narrative development: Construct executive tracking frameworks and convert intricate operational data into clear, engaging narratives and visual materials for leadership and board updates. Convey the business story to investors.

• Financial health and CEO support: Engage deeply with key corporate financial metrics, burn/runway modeling, and operational planning tools to grasp the underlying health of the business.

• High-priority project work (Incubation and Handoff): The Chief of Staff identifies critical gaps and strategic focuses, and when necessary, develops foundational approaches, prepares the team for success, and transitions responsibilities to permanent owners. Examples include cross-functional workflow optimization: Identify systemic workflow deficiencies across key operational cycles, creating streamlined processes that enhance value delivery across product, sales, and client teams.

• Organizational governance frameworks: Create and implement company-wide decision-making matrices to accelerate execution speed, eliminate ambiguity, and clarify permanent cross-functional ownership within a growing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of professional experience in management consulting, technology operations, corporate operations, or direct experience in a Chief of Staff role.

• The "Builder-Operator" mindset: You don’t just create polished presentations or theoretical frameworks; you have a proven history of getting hands-on, crafting documentation, establishing initial workflows, and testing systems personally.

• Financial and systemic proficiency: Highly adept at analyzing operational data, runway models, and software planning infrastructure to derive actionable business insights.

• Mastery of handoff mechanics: A specialist in organizational "incubation." You have the unique emotional intelligence and clarity required to navigate chaos, lay a solid groundwork, prepare a team for success, and methodically transfer ownership to permanent teams.

• Intense focus and strategic boundaries: Highly capable of prioritizing effectively. You know how to assess a list of 20 organizational demands, purposefully decline 17 of them, and concentrate the company's efforts on flawlessly addressing the top 3.

• Nice to have:

• Experience in Health Tech or Digital Health: Previous exposure to the healthcare ecosystem, clinical workflows, or practice management platforms.

• Early-stage B2B SaaS experience: Direct experience working within a venture-backed, fast-paced software environment.
