This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ You will manage the CEO's operational framework, including setting goals, maintaining cadence, and ensuring follow-through.
β’ Take personal responsibility for projects that are currently unassigned.
β’ Oversee the goal-setting process, managing the entire quarterly and annual planning cycle.
β’ Collaborate with each executive to translate intentions into measurable, focused targets.
β’ Monitor progress, identify any delays early, and escalate issues to the CEO before they escalate into major problems.
β’ Lead the weekly leadership meeting by establishing the agenda, presenting key metrics, and guiding decision-making.
β’ Maintain an accurate scoreboard by creating and overseeing the company-level reporting that leadership relies on, in conjunction with finance and data teams.
β’ Manage special projects that are critical and cross-functional, particularly those without an assigned owner.
β’ Serve as the CEO's second opinion, rigorously assessing decisions prior to finalization.
β’ 8 to 12 years of experience, including roles as a Chief of Staff, Business Operations lead, Strategy & Operations lead, or similar positions equivalent to a founder/CEO or senior executive.
β’ Exceptional pedigree, with a strong academic background and experience at companies known for their high standards, along with a history of internal promotions.
β’ Analytical skills are essential; you are proficient with spreadsheets and comfortable working in a data-centric environment. You can construct models, evaluate opportunities, analyze cohort curves, and retrieve your own data rather than relying on others.
β’ Excellent writing skills are a must. You can create impactful memos, board presentations, and executive communications. You have the ability to distill a chaotic 90-minute discussion into a concise one-page summary that influences actions.
β’ Experience in running an operational cadence (OKRs or similar frameworks, weekly business reviews, planning cycles) in a high-volume company, not just theoretical knowledge from presentations.
β’ Possess a strong backbone; you will frequently need to inform senior, accomplished individuals when their goals are unmeasurable or their projects are behind schedule, doing so calmly and confidently, earning their respect.
β’ A startup mindset is essential; thrive in high-ambiguity situations, adapt quickly, and prioritize outcomes over rigid organizational roles.
β’ Daily use of AI tools for enhancing speed in analysis, drafting, and research is expected.

β’ Experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC), subscription, or consumer packaged goods (CPG), particularly in businesses with recurring revenue and effective retention strategies.
β’ Background in consulting, banking, or private equity, complemented by substantial operational experience (both are essential).
β’ Experience in creating materials for and presenting to a board or investors.
β’ Familiarity with SQL, or enough knowledge to navigate it effectively.
