Chief of Staff

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Link strategy to execution seamlessly.

• Oversee our planning and prioritization process, ensuring decisions are tracked to completion while guiding cross-team initiatives from initiation to conclusion.

• Direct our internal AI and automation initiatives.

• Prepare decisions, lead special projects, and represent the CEO in internal discussions to ensure momentum is not reliant on any single individual’s schedule.

• Develop and manage the systems that ensure all teams are aligned and working cohesively.

⛳️ Requirements

• A systems thinker who perceives organizations as intricate machines and has an innate ability to identify areas where they waste time and energy.

• An effective integrator who fosters alignment across diverse teams and influences individuals who do not report directly to you.

• Proficient with AI technologies - you've restructured your workflows around these tools and can independently create functional solutions, whether utilizing low-code platforms, scripting, or AI-assisted development. We will expect you to demonstrate your skills, not just describe them.

• A neutral mediator with no loyalty to any specific department - each team should trust that your optimization efforts benefit the entire organization.

• Discreet and reliable - you will manage confidential information and act on the CEO's behalf regularly.

• Humble - you derive satisfaction from the success of those around you and do not require recognition to feel accomplished.

• At ease with uncertainty - much of what comes to you may be ill-defined, and you excel at transforming it into structured priorities and tangible outcomes.

• Respected by senior leaders - you have experience operating at a level where directors and executives regard you seriously.

• Tenacious in following through - you are proactive, decisive about what is most important, and have little tolerance for unfinished tasks.

• Flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home, and a 35-hour work week.

• 10 wellness days each year.

• Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
