This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of preparing for board meetings and following through on all aspects: agendas, materials, pre-reads, and tracking commitments to ensure closure.
• Act as the main point of contact for board members regarding non-urgent inquiries.
• Establish and manage the leadership team's operational rhythm, including regular meetings, decision-making forums, and communication protocols that unify the company's functions.
• Create and implement structures where they are currently lacking, taking the initiative without waiting for direction.
• Maintain a system to track commitments made across the leadership team, ensuring that no agreement made by the CEO falls through the cracks without appropriate follow-up.
• Keep decisions stable, even when they are revisited during discussions, while maintaining respect for all participants.
• Collaborate with the appropriate leadership team member to guarantee the CEO is thoroughly briefed and prepared for every significant meeting, investor dialogue, and speaking engagement.
• Manage strategic initiatives as assigned by the CEO.
• Represent the CEO in interactions with board members, investors, and senior partners when applicable.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of senior management experience, including a Chief of Staff role on a leadership team.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational design, and managing cross-functional programs.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate real cross-functional complexities, including competing priorities and organizational politics, while holding individuals accountable without formal authority.
• Experience in building organizational systems from scratch, including operating rhythms, decision-making frameworks, and accountability structures in previously unstructured environments.
• Possess the executive presence and credibility necessary to represent the CEO with board members, investors, and senior partners.
• Comfortable working in an evolving environment where infrastructure is still being developed, rather than relying on pre-existing structures.
• Experience in public companies and a background in technology, energy, advanced manufacturing, or another regulated sector is preferred.
• A genuine enthusiasm for Deep Fission's mission to create faster, safer, and more affordable nuclear power, along with a highly self-motivated work ethic that does not require daily supervision.
