This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in prioritizing initiatives while effectively managing time, focus, and follow-through.
• Oversee the Office of the CEO, including the Executive Assistant to the CEO and the CEO’s schedule, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Manage the flow of information to and from the CEO, keeping senior leaders informed on decisions, key data, and daily priorities.
• Maintain a proactive internal communications strategy that keeps staff updated on leadership developments, strategy, and operational changes.
• Facilitate coordination and communication across departments and among leadership team members.
• Organize regular internal reporting, including the provision of executive summaries.
• Track organizational OKRs for the CEO, ensuring clear visibility and accountability across departments.
• Anticipate potential roadblocks and identify opportunities for process or system enhancements, collaborating closely with division leaders to ensure effective execution.
• Plan and facilitate meetings for the executive and senior leadership teams, including crafting meeting agendas for the CEO.
• Act as a proxy for the CEO in meetings or decisions as required.
• Draft and/or review external-facing documents as well as briefing materials for internal and external presentations and meetings.
• Support the CEO at in-person meetings, events, and conferences when appropriate, and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Lead critical high-level projects as they arise and provide support on CEO priorities.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with a CEO, founder, or high-level executive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
• Experience in an operations role within a strategic communications, journalism, or political campaign setting.
• A strong passion for principal management and the ability to support a visionary leader with tactical execution requiring minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of translating complex information into clear and actionable messaging in memos and presentations.
• Proficient in utilizing brand guidelines to create decks and leave-behind materials.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and skilled in managing shifting priorities with discretion and composure under pressure.
• An appreciation for and proficiency in internal communications.
• Keen attention to detail while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture — adept at tracking leadership-wide tasks and prioritizing those needing immediate attention.
• A thoughtful approach to managing external relationships and ensuring appropriate communications, providing necessary updates, and keeping all parties informed.
