Chief of Staff

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Founder to implement essential strategic initiatives.

• Perform research on startup ecosystems, cutting-edge technologies, and investment opportunities.

• Assist in sourcing deals and managing the investment pipeline.

• Support individual deal investments through SPVs and sidecar arrangements.

• Facilitate coordination among founders, investors, and legal teams throughout the investment process.

• Aid in preparing investor updates and reports.

• Contribute to fundraising efforts for SPVs and various investment opportunities.

• Help with outreach to limited partners, investor communications, and syndicate management.

• Create materials including pitch decks, investment memos, and investor updates.

• Play a role in operating and expanding the 16VC Founder Fellowship program.

• Collaborate with mentors, partners, and network contributors who support the fellowship.

• Oversee communication with fellows, assisting in onboarding and programming.

• Support events, workshops, and initiatives within the founder community.

• Enhance internal processes and operational systems.

• Manage partnerships and relationships within the ecosystem.

• Assist with venture studio and community-related initiatives.

• Travel occasionally to engage with founders, participate in startup events, and foster ecosystem relationships.

• Represent 16VC at founder gatherings, demo days, and industry conferences.

• Lead projects aimed at scaling the firm on a global scale.

• 3–7 years of experience in startups, venture capital, consulting, or strategic roles.

• Strong passion for venture capital, startups, and emerging technologies.

• Exceptional communication, research, and project management abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic startup environment.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Bonus: Experience with venture funds, SPVs, syndicates, or startup fundraising.

• Bonus: Experience collaborating with founder communities, accelerators, or fellowship programs.

• Bonus: Background in finance, product development, or startup operations.
