Chief Financial Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop the financial strategy and spearhead growth initiatives for the portfolio company.

• Manage all financial dimensions of the organization.

• Participate in executive decision-making processes.

• Safeguard the financial health and stability of the organization.

• Report directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors.

• Work alongside the executive team to formulate and implement the comprehensive financial strategy.

• Supply financial insights and recommendations for strategic planning, resource distribution, and investment choices.

• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial analysis.

• Ensure precision, compliance, adherence to industry norms, and regulatory standards.

• Produce timely and accurate financial reports for executive management and the board.

• Deliver actionable insights to enhance business performance.

• Assess and manage financial risks while implementing mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards.

• Utilize software industry experience to evaluate and enhance the company's commercial stance.

• Safeguard sensitive financial data and intellectual property against potential threats.

• Identify and assess potential mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships.

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team.

• Cultivate a collaborative and growth-focused work environment.

• Mentor and develop team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive financial management experience.

• Ideally, at least 3–5 years of experience as a CFO.

• Experience with Private Equity-backed portfolio companies.

• Preferred experience with exits.

• Experience in mergers and acquisitions.

• Technical expertise in SaaS/enterprise technology revenue recognition.

• Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and other relevant billing dependencies.

• The ideal candidate should be based in the United States.

• Experience in a recurring-revenue, subscription-based software business.

• Experience leading or significantly supporting mergers and acquisitions transactions as CFO.

• Preferred experience leading a company through a successful liquidity event.

• Experience as CFO or an equivalent senior finance leader for a Private Equity-backed SaaS company is preferred.
