📋 Description

• Lead the mission success for solid rocket propulsion system programs from start to finish.

• Manage extensive multidisciplinary teams.

• Supervise intricate systems engineering processes.

• Align technical execution with budget and schedule requirements.

• Direct the program’s complete technical lifecycle through design reviews and qualification milestones.

• Ensure final systems are manufacturable and meet technical data requirements.

• Balance technical execution with cost and schedule limitations.

• Maintain focus on the critical path and resolve resource conflicts.

• Enhance schedule performance through effective task span-time management and alternative execution strategies.

• Establish and uphold lean technical scope baselines.

• Monitor cost performance indices and scrutinize budget change requests.

• Act as the primary technical spokesperson for the program.

• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Present programmatic materials, develop new business opportunities, and keep customer requests within authorized limits.

• Provide data-driven technical alternatives to facilitate collaborative decision-making.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including potential overnight trips to company sites or external testing facilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering field.

• 15 years of engineering experience.

• Over 5 years of technical leadership in solid rocket motors (SRMs).

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through design reviews and qualification milestones.

• Capacity to ensure systems are manufacturable and compliant with technical data requirements.

• Skilled in managing cost and schedule constraints.

• Ability to maintain focus on the critical path and resolve resource conflicts.

• Experience in establishing lean technical scope baselines and monitoring cost performance indices.

• Proficient in presenting programmatic materials and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the required level.

• U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance.

• At least four years of experience leading controllable solid rocket propulsion system projects with multidisciplinary teams of at least 10 individuals (preferred).

• Current DoD Secret Security clearance (preferred).

• Physical capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations and be eligible for the necessary export authorizations.
