This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Lead the estimating department and set technical standards and procedures.
• Oversee the training and staffing processes within the estimating department.
• Supervise and ensure accountability for the Stop Gate estimating methods.
• Enforce company policies and procedures in accordance with Human Resources guidelines.
• Evaluate estimating personnel in relation to their qualifications, performance, and compensation assessments.
• Foster InPwr's core values and collaborative relationships with Project Management, General Superintendents, Project Coordination, Human Resources, Engineering, and Design teams.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients regarding RFPs and the bid proposal processes.
• Manage client expectations concerning bid deadlines and proposal deliverables.
• Review bid proposal documents for follow-up RFIs and general inquiries.
• Negotiate with manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors.
• Implement bid proposal follow-up strategies and communicate bid outcomes.
• Execute estimating processes and manage personnel effectively.
• Strategize new bidding opportunities with Business Development, project managers, account managers, and preconstruction support teams.
• Facilitate planning sessions for new bid estimate strategies.
• Implement and uphold quality control within the Stop Gate 1 process.
• Assign estimating tasks based on personnel experience and capability.
• Develop and monitor initial and final InPwr scope price proposals.
• Oversee customer bid documentation, which includes RFPs, construction drawings, specifications, and additional vendor documentation.
• Supervise subcontractor and vendor quotes along with preliminary submittals.
• Ensure compliance with Authority Having Jurisdiction, local utility, state, local, and NEC-related requirements.
• Review and analyze estimates and project outputs.
• Provide or perform control takeoff estimates and change order budget pricing with project managers.
• Update bid tracking documentation on a weekly basis.
• Report weekly to senior leadership on the status of current bid projects.
• Maintain weekly updates for the global Confidential List.
• A minimum of (10) years of estimating experience in the electrical industry.
• Must possess at least (1) Master's electrical license.
• Strong communication skills for effective interdepartmental coordination of project deliverables.
• Extensive expertise and general knowledge in the electrical industry.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and electrical theory.
• Proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, and electrical submittals.
• Significant experience in the layout of electrical systems and equipment.
• Expertise in design and engineering concepts, particularly in diagrammatic one-lines, load calculations, feeder and branch circuit analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experienced with Accubid software.
• Knowledgeable in construction document processes and review procedures.
• Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future.
• Must successfully pass drug & alcohol screening, E-verify, driving record check, and background investigation.
• A sign-on bonus of $20,000.
