This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.
• Create and implement a thorough enterprise data and AI strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
• Develop governance frameworks to ensure data quality, stewardship, lifecycle management, and ethical use of AI.
• Guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, CMS).
• Direct the creation, scaling, and adoption of AI/ML solutions across clinical, operational, and financial sectors.
• Identify and rank high-impact use cases (e.g., predictive analytics, clinical decision support, automation).
• Manage model governance, validation, monitoring, and bias reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to integrate analytics into workflows, enhancing patient outcomes.
• Promote initiatives in population health, risk stratification, and precision medicine.
• Provide insights that enhance operational efficiency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work alongside IT to create scalable and interoperable data platforms (cloud, data lakes, warehouses).
• Ensure seamless system integration, including EHR platforms such as Epic.
• Facilitate real-time data access across various care settings.
• Collaborate with academic and research entities to foster clinical research and innovation.
• Support initiatives funded by grants, clinical trials, and translational research.
• Assess emerging technologies and strategic alliances.
• Build and manage a high-performing organization focused on data, analytics, and AI.
• Cultivate a culture centered on data literacy, innovation, and accountability.
• Inform executive leadership and the Board about data and AI strategies, capabilities, and associated risks.
• Establish frameworks for enterprise data governance and privacy.
• Supervise alignment on cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, capital planning, and ROI for data and AI investments.
• Lead the strategy for vendors, partnerships, and performance management.
• Bachelor's Degree, required.
• Over 15 years of experience in IT, data, analytics, or digital leadership within intricate healthcare settings, required.
• More than 10 years of IT or business leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale data and AI transformations.
• Extensive knowledge in data governance, analytics platforms, and AI/ML applications.
• Strong financial and operational insight, including capital planning and ROI realization.
• Demonstrated capability to influence executive stakeholders and foster cross-functional alignment.
• Executive presence with experience providing counsel to senior leadership and Boards.
