This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the enterprise-wide strategy for business development and strategic partnerships that aligns with commercialization and growth objectives.
• Identify, assess, structure, and finalize high-value transactions, including licensing agreements, partnerships, and venture financing.
• Act as a senior relationship manager with pharmaceutical, biotech, venture capital, and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with scientific and clinical leaders to develop and refine commercialization and development strategies.
• Create and enhance a high-performing Business Development team.
• Recognize and pursue new revenue-generating opportunities across institutional capabilities and assets.
• Represent City of Hope at industry conferences, investor gatherings, and critical strategic engagements.
• Develop operating models, key performance indicators (KPIs), and pipeline management processes to enhance performance.
• Provide counsel to executive leadership regarding market trends, partnerships, and long-term growth strategies.
• PhD with over 15 years of industry experience and an MBA preferred, or a Master’s degree with an MBA and over 20 years of experience.
• Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.
• Significant experience in licensing, strategic partnerships, alliance management, and venture creation.
• Outstanding negotiation, strategic thinking, financial analysis, and relationship management abilities.
• Experience in oncology, cell and gene therapy, diagnostics, precision medicine, or advanced therapeutics is preferred.
