Chemistry Research Collaborator – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct reviews and evaluations of chemistry research papers to ensure scientific accuracy, originality, and significance.

• Create and assess complex chemistry problems utilized for training and evaluating advanced AI models.

• Evaluate AI-generated solutions in the following areas:

• - Organic synthesis and retrosynthesis

• - Prediction of reaction mechanisms

• - Interpretation of spectral data

• - Computational chemistry

• - Analysis of chemical literature

• Detect reasoning inaccuracies and scientific gaps that would be easily identified by seasoned chemistry researchers.

• Offer comprehensive, evidence-based written feedback aimed at enhancing AI model performance.

• Work collaboratively with other researchers and project teams to maintain consistency and quality across evaluation tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD or postdoctoral training from a prestigious institution in Chemistry or a related STEM field.

• First-author or co-first-author publications in prominent journals such as:

• - Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS)

• - Nature Chemistry

• - Science

• - Nature

• - Angewandte Chemie

• - Nature Catalysis

• - ACS Catalysis

• - Chem (Cell Press)

• - Chemical Reviews

• - Chemical Society Reviews

• - Journal of Organic Chemistry

• - Organic Letters

• - Inorganic Chemistry

• - Nature Communications

• A named inventor on patents, a founder of a research spin-out, or a Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator on funded research grants.

• A medalist (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).

• Current or recent involvement in an active research position, including:

• - PhD Candidate

• - Postdoctoral Researcher

• - Faculty Member

• - Instructor

• - Principal Scientist

• - Industry Researcher
