Chemistry Engineering Consultant – BWR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Operational Support Services team with BWR chemistry-related services and support, encompassing open and closed cooling water, primary chemistry systems, troubleshooting efforts, assessments, chemistry-related equipment, and engineering assistance.

• Engage in utility assessments, focusing on chemistry system optimization, chemical optimization, troubleshooting, and more.

• Take part in business development activities, gaining insights into the business model that drives SIA's success.

• Contribute to EPRI and SIA-related research initiatives.

• Draft and review reports generated from assessments and research activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry supporting Chemistry and/or Engineering efforts, particularly related to BWRs.

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.

• Project Management experience with multiple workgroups.

• Willingness to travel to support clients and business development initiatives (approximately 25%).

• Strong technical report writing abilities and excellent communication skills.

• Capability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) as necessary.

• Over 10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry supporting Chemistry and/or Engineering efforts, including troubleshooting and assessment support.

• Previous qualifications as a chemistry technician, staff chemist, staff engineer, or holder of a Senior Reactor Operator license.

• Familiarity with SampleIQ and Nuclear Chemistry Applications (e.g., BWRVIA).

• Extensive Project Management experience.

• Significant experience in Business Development within the Nuclear Industry.
