Chemistry Engineering Consultant – Auxiliary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in utility evaluations pertaining to auxiliary chemistry systems (such as raw water treatment, cooling water optimization, radwaste chemistry effectiveness, corrosion control, and contaminant management).

• Assist in troubleshooting and chemistry assessments related to balance-of-plant systems, including stator cooling water and service water systems.

• Offer chemistry expertise and technical assistance during outages and operational events at the plant.

• Formulate technical suggestions for optimizing chemical treatments and enhancing system reliability.

• Contribute to EPRI and SIA research projects focused on auxiliary chemistry and corrosion prevention.

• Draft and review technical documentation produced from assessments, evaluations, and research endeavors.

• Take part in business development efforts, which include client interaction and supporting growth initiatives.

• Aid in the development or application of chemistry tools and analytical techniques for assessing plant chemistry performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry providing support for chemistry and/or engineering activities concerning auxiliary or balance-of-plant systems.

• Proficient understanding of PWR and/or BWR chemistry programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, or another related science or engineering discipline.

• Experience in supporting plant chemistry initiatives involving raw water, cooling water, radwaste systems, or similar systems.

• Willingness to travel to assist clients and support business development activities (approximately 25%).

• Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) as necessary.
