Chemistry Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Involvement in utility evaluations (e.g., radiation source term, optimization of chemistry-related systems, chemical treatment enhancement, etc.)

• Engagement in business development initiatives, including understanding the business model that contributes to SIA's success.

• Contribution to EPRI and SIA-related research projects

• Composing and reviewing reports produced from assessments and research activities

• Development, operation, and/or optimization of chemistry software

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry supporting Chemistry and/or Engineering projects (specifically PWRs)

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, or other related scientific disciplines

• Limited Project Management experience coordinating with multiple work groups

• Willingness to travel to assist clients and support business development activities (~25%)

• Proficiency in writing technical reports and strong communication abilities

• Capability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) as required

• Over 10 years of experience in the Nuclear Industry supporting Chemistry and/or Engineering projects, including modeling and troubleshooting (specifically PWRs) (preferred)

• Previous qualifications as a chemistry technician, staff chemist, staff engineer, or holding a Senior Reactor Operator license (preferred)

• Familiarity with NuclearIQ and modeling tools (e.g., mass balances, cleanup curves, resin, CHECWORKS, ChemWorks Tools, etc.) (preferred)

• Extensive Project Management experience (preferred)

• Significant experience in Business Development within the Nuclear Industry (preferred)
