Chemical Engineering Management Consultant – EU

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Extract, cleanse, and analyze operational data using Excel; create dashboards, KPI grids, and management reports.

• Assist with observations, audits, area profiling, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Convert findings into actionable steps that yield measurable financial and operational outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with refinery operations, planning, scheduling, laboratory, maintenance, engineering, and management teams.

• Aid in the implementation of sustainable processes, clarify responsibilities, and integrate new working methods.

• Enhance blend planning, scheduling, and execution practices.

• Review backcasting, analyzer modeling, spectra preprocessing, trimming, and offset corrections.

• Support the establishment of site-specific blending guidelines that minimize quality giveaway and maintain improved performance.

• Strengthen volume expansion and mass-balance reporting through enhanced measurement techniques.

• Identify inefficiencies and quantify opportunities in steam, electricity, natural gas, heat exchanger performance, fuel selection, and hydrogen management.

• Improve refinery LP outputs related to feedstock selection, product mix, and operational constraints.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 (two) years of practical experience in a refinery setting.

• A solid understanding of refinery operations and process engineering principles.

• Proficient data mining and analysis capabilities in Excel.

• Familiarity with tools such as Aspen PIMS, AVEVA Spiral, Haverly GRTMPS, Honeywell RPMS, or similar is a plus.

• A degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering is required.

• At least 2 (two) years of professional experience in a refinery environment is essential.
