Chaplain, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Act as a messenger, conveying faith, mission, and purpose.

• Engage with companies, their employees, and the community in a way that reflects character through personal and spiritual disciplines.

• Conduct regular brief visits to company worksites (typically on a weekly basis) to interact with employees and foster trust and friendship.

• Visit employees or their immediate family members wherever care can be provided and assistance offered.

• May facilitate confidential pastoral discussions for employees and their immediate family members regarding personal issues.

• Offer referral services and coordinate specialized assistance for employees and/or their immediate family members.

• May help in planning, conducting, or attending funerals for employees or their immediate family members.

• Collaborate with companies to notify families and other employees of deaths and serious injuries.

• Provide post-termination support for employees who have been laid off or terminated.

• Ability to function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team and in an interfaith environment.

• Proficient in listening and engaging effectively with clients, employees, and their families.

• Demonstrated spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle, aligned with MCHAP’s Ministry values.

• Proven ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy among diverse groups.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to analyze information to identify and address problems or objectives.

• Proficiency in using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or other comparable software.

• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and meet state minimum auto insurance requirements.
