This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage and oversee the governance framework for Acturis Small Change, ensuring that all small change activities are identified, evaluated, prioritized, approved, and executed in a controlled and auditable manner.
• Direct the operational management of the Acturis Small Change Board, ensuring it operates as an effective decision-making forum with well-defined agendas, high-quality information, and timely outcomes.
• Control and prioritize demand by applying consistent criteria to ensure that regulatory, financial, data-risk, and customer-impacting changes take precedence over discretionary or preference-based requests.
• Provide clear challenge and decision support, ensuring that each change is evaluated for risk, benefits, operational impact, testing requirements, and alignment with broader Retail and Technology strategy.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and data security by confirming that changes do not lead to misuse, workaround behaviors, or unintended vulnerabilities.
• Establish appropriate testing and release requirements, ensuring that changes are thoroughly validated, documented, and communicated prior to production deployment.
• Ensure full transparency of small change activities, including demand, backlog, throughput, capacity, and realized benefits, to facilitate assurance, audit, and planning.
• Serve as the primary operational contact with Acturis for small change, handling scope, cost, feasibility, and delivery expectations, while escalating development or project-level changes as needed.
• Advise the business on the proper utilization of system changes, distinguishing between issues that should be resolved through configuration, process adjustments, training, or policy changes.
• Experience in change management, operations, governance, or platform-based roles, preferably within the insurance, financial services, or regulated sectors.
• Proven ability to analyze changes to assess impact, risk, dependencies, and root causes, using such analysis to guide decisions or recommendations.
• A robust understanding of how system changes influence operations, personnel, data, and controls, acquired through practical, hands-on experience.
• Confidence in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and clearly articulating decisions, including when challenges or reassurances are required.
• Experience in prioritizing tasks and making balanced, risk-aware decisions amidst competing demands.
• Comfort in navigating governance processes or forums, with a readiness to assume ownership and accountability.
• Strong and practical communication skills, with the capability to translate decisions into clear guidance for teams.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other relevant tools.
