CGI Automotive Artist, 3Ds Max, V-Ray

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop automotive computer-generated imagery (CGI) for high-quality visuals at close range.

• Create still images and animations utilizing high-polygon vehicle models.

• Apply textures, shading, lighting, rendering, and compositing to produce final automotive content.

• Generate visuals for exteriors, interiors, detailed crops, accessories, color variations, wheels, trims, and motion sequences.

• Assess and enhance lighting, materials, geometry, camera setups, render settings, and compositing techniques.

• Design scenes and outputs that are appropriate for extensive content collections and scalable production workflows.

• Adhere to standards for naming, versioning, render layers, compositing, and scene organization.

• Maintain assets that are clean, reusable, and prepared for configurators, campaign derivatives, market adaptations, and automated processes.

• Incorporate feedback from art directors, leads, clients, and production teams effectively.

• Enhance material libraries, lighting templates, documentation, and overall production efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in automotive CGI and high-end 3D production.

• Proficient in handling complex high-polygon models, physically based materials, lighting setups, render passes, compositing workflows, and final image refinement.

• Advanced knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Nuke or After Effects.

• A portfolio or showreel that showcases seniority through visual judgment, technical proficiency, and completed work.

• Strong communication skills in English with artists, leads, producers, and technical teams.

• Capability to articulate image issues, necessary modifications, and related trade-offs.

• Submission of resume/portfolio and cover letter in English.

• Complete ownership of tasks using 3ds Max and V-Ray at a high production level from the outset of the role.
