This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Act as a vital member of clients' executive management teams.
• Formulate and execute strategic financial plans that align with manufacturing business goals.
• Direct high-level financial decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Offer financial coaching to client leadership teams.
• Assist internal delivery teams with technical knowledge and industry-specific advice.
• Develop advanced financial models to assess business decisions, including capital equipment investments and facility expansions.
• Create long-term cash forecasts and capital planning that specifically address the cyclical characteristics of manufacturing.
• Evaluate business performance and uncover optimization opportunities for production efficiency.
• Design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to the client's operational needs.
• Prepare annual operating plans along with variance analysis.
• Manage and enhance production/job costing systems.
• Establish effective inventory management and valuation processes.
• Create cost accounting frameworks that yield actionable insights.
• Formulate pricing strategies that ensure profitability while staying competitive.
• Conduct month-end closing meetings with clients and internal teams to present financial performance.
• Supervise the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and critical reports.
• Analyze budget variances and communicate major issues and opportunities.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and provide strategic recommendations.
• Act as a proactive liaison with clients' professional advisors (CPAs, bankers, attorneys).
• Manage and oversee new client onboarding processes.
• Guide and mentor accountants within your delivery team.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients' stakeholders.
• Serve as a point of contact with external partners (bankers, attorneys, investors, suppliers, CPA).
• Encourage collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
• Assist in business development initiatives as an industry expert.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing industry regulations and reporting requirements.
• Implement robust controls for production facilities.
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor production progress and profitability.
• Optimize working capital management for cyclical business operations.
• Provide strategic insights regarding supply chain and materials management.
• Over 10 years of financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the manufacturing sector.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record in executive-level financial advisory roles within manufacturing firms.
• Established ability to lead strategic growth initiatives.
• Passion for entrepreneurial, growth-oriented small businesses.
• Experience in managing multiple client relationships is preferred.
• Strong mentoring and team development skills.
