CFO – Financial Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial strategy, planning, and forecasting for clients.

• Create and uphold budgets alongside a 13-week rolling cash flow.

• Provide timely monthly financial reports along with executive insights.

• Act as a reliable partner to clients during periods of stabilization, growth, and transition.

• Collaborate with client leadership on initiatives related to growth, operational efficiency, and risk management.

• Offer proactive insights by pinpointing risks, opportunities, and compliance issues to facilitate client growth.

• Assess client engagement health and recognize opportunities for additional support, resources, or services as needed.

• Work cross-functionally to ensure prompt and high-quality client support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business is required; CPA, MBA, or another advanced degree is preferred.

• 6–8 years of experience as a CFO or in a senior strategic finance role.

• Capability to comprehend and steer daily full-cycle accounting functions while primarily focusing on strategic matters.

• Proficient in accounting and business platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Fathom, Shopify, Cin7, Amazon).

• Experience in advising small companies in sectors such as inventory-based retail/e-commerce, creative/project-based firms, or technology startups.

• Knowledge of accounting and tax methodologies, as well as economic trends affecting small businesses.

• Proven track record of managing multiple clients and competing priorities while delivering high-quality, timely work efficiently and profitably.

• Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and guide clients and cross-functional partners.

• Established history of providing outstanding client service and strategic advice to small businesses and startups.
