This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee all essential finance functions, encompassing FP&A, accounting, cash management, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, board reporting, and strategic finance.
• Develop and uphold a high-integrity financial operating rhythm that enhances forecast accuracy, decision-making quality, and organizational accountability.
• Enhance financial processes, systems, controls, and reporting as the company grows, while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Prepare and deliver clear, credible, and precise presentations for the Board, investors, lenders, and other key stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board regarding financial performance, business health, planning scenarios, capital allocation, and operating trade-offs.
• Assist in strategic planning, long-term modeling, and scenario analysis linked to the company’s growth trajectory and future opportunities.
• Enable the company to make informed decisions at the intersection of growth and discipline — supporting commercial ambitions while rigorously testing assumptions and preventing financial overreach.
• As necessary, support future strategic finance initiatives, including fundraising, as a secondary capability rather than the primary focus of the role.
• Apply rigor to SaaS and company performance metrics, including ARR, ACV, bookings, gross margin, churn, renewal quality, services mix, implementation timing, pipeline conversion, and cash efficiency.
• Establish a comprehensive understanding of revenue quality, including differentiating between contracted ARR, live ARR, collectible ARR, and realized revenue performance.
• Foster operating visibility into the true economics of the business, addressing customer profitability, implementation and deployment dynamics, cost drivers, and expansion quality.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Legal, Delivery, and Operations on pricing, deal structures, payment terms, procurement dynamics, services attachments, margin implications, and revenue recognition considerations.
• Demonstrated finance leadership experience within a SaaS or software-enabled organization, ideally in a growth-stage or scaling enterprise environment.
• Background as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance leader prepared to transition into a CFO role.
• Profound understanding of SaaS metrics and the ability to differentiate signal from noise in growth-stage reporting.
• Outstanding financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical abilities.
• Strong commercial instincts and fluency in enterprise contracts, pricing models, deal economics, and procurement complexities.
• Experience operating closely with revenue realization, not just top-line planning.
• Capability to seamlessly navigate between strategic discussions and detailed financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting, cash flow management, controls, and the operational realities that influence margin and revenue outcomes.
• Executive presence and communication skills that instill confidence with a CEO, Board, investors, and senior functional leaders.
• A hands-on, low-ego approach with a readiness to engage directly in the details when necessary.
• High integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to clarity, truth, and accountability.
• Stock options or RSUs — specifics to be discussed during the interview process.
• 100% of employee premiums covered; 95% of dependent premiums covered by Willow.
• 401(k) plan with 100% company matching on the first 5% of contributions.
• 20 days of accrued vacation + 10 days of paid sick leave + 8 paid holidays annually.
• Willow-paid parental leave, coordinated with Washington State’s PFML program.
• Workers’ compensation coverage in compliance with WA state requirements.
