This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Create compact, self-contained CFD and aerodynamics tasks that assess the engineering reasoning of AI models.
• Develop clear and technically precise problem statements that include aspects such as boundary conditions, mesh quality, flow regimes, and simulation setup.
• Design deterministic scoring checkers to objectively assess AI-generated outputs.
• Generate verified reference solutions to guarantee that each task is technically sound and entirely solvable.
• Evaluate and enhance engineering tasks to increase clarity, physical accuracy, and suitable difficulty levels.
• Utilize real-world experience with OpenFOAM to craft practical and realistic engineering scenarios.
• Operate independently in a fully remote, asynchronous setting with complete flexibility in scheduling.
• A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Practical experience using OpenFOAM for computational fluid dynamics simulations.
• A solid understanding of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
• Familiarity with:
• Mesh generation.
• Turbulence modeling.
• Boundary condition specification.
• Post-processing and simulation analysis.
• Proficiency in writing clear, precise, and objectively verifiable engineering problems.
• Excellent written English communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Nice to Haves:
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, motorsports, renewable energy, or industrial CFD applications.
• Knowledge of advanced CFD validation and verification methods.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation or engineering research.
• Prior involvement in AI, simulation, or data annotation projects.
• Fully remote, independent contractor position.
• Flexible working hours with an anticipated workload of 10–39 hours per week.
• Weekly payments for completed work from the previous week.
