Certified Tanium Administration – Service Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as Foresite’s primary expert on Tanium and operational leader.

• Oversee the architecture, administration, deployment tuning, and service delivery of the Tanium platform in multi-tenant and dedicated customer environments.

• Facilitate workshops, operational reviews, and strategic technical discussions with client leadership, security teams, and IT operators.

• Train client teams on Tanium workflows, query creation, and platform best practices.

• Convert Tanium modules into practical operational and security results.

• Design, implement, and sustain high-availability Tanium server infrastructure across customer settings.

• Implement RBAC policies, user roles, persona groups, and computer group boundaries.

• Set up bandwidth throttling, peer-to-peer distribution, and WAN/LAN rate limiting.

• Assess, test, and resolve issues with custom Tanium sensors, packages, action locks, saved queries, and scripts.

• Oversee service performance, deployment health checks, unmanaged device discovery, and metrics for vulnerability remediation.

• Act as the Tier 3/4 escalation lead for intricate Tanium challenges and service interruptions.

• Develop and maintain SOPs, client onboarding frameworks, and automated operational runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of substantial, hands-on experience in administering and operating Tanium at scale across more than 20,000 endpoints.

• In-depth understanding of Tanium Linear Chain architecture, peer-to-peer distribution, sensor mechanics, action locks, and RBAC.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Tanium modules including Asset, Discover, Direct Connect, Trends, Client Management, Patch, Deploy, Performance, Provision, Comply, Reveal, Threat Response, Benchmark, and Enforce.

• Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for developing custom sensors and packages.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux internals.

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, firewalls, subnets, and proxies.

• Proven ability to communicate complex technical architectures to non-technical business leaders.

• Background in an MSSP, consulting, or technical account management role.

• Must possess active certifications as a Tanium Certified Operator (TCO), Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA), Tanium Certified Cloud Specialist (TCCS), and Tanium Certified Endpoint Management Specialist (TCEMS).

• CISSP, CISM, GCED, or GSEC credentials are considered a plus.
