Certified Pharmacy Technician – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Delivering outstanding customer service daily in a phone-based environment.

• Processing a significant volume of data while ensuring accuracy and speed in handling prescription information.

• Leveraging comprehensive drug knowledge to efficiently manage prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers.

• Carrying out claim adjudication and auditing tasks, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility verifications.

• Making outbound calls to patients as required.

• Navigating current case queues to resolve patient care issues effectively.

• Acting as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.

• Collaborating with technicians and pharmacists to guarantee a seamless onboarding process for new patients at ExactCare.

• Keeping patient records meticulously, ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality.

• Accurately retrieving all prescription information and confirming it through communications with doctors.

• Making welcome calls to newly onboarded patients to establish a reliable point of contact.

• Conducting outbound calls to patients to create, update, or maintain their medication profiles.

• Providing backup support during periods of increased patient call volume.

• Assisting patients with inquiries effectively over the phone.

• Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to support ExactCare's nationwide patient community.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA), with a current certificate.

• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment.

• Capability to work in an office-based (or remote) setting that necessitates sitting at a desk for 90% of the time.
