• Facilitate large-group “review sessions” (20-75 students per session) focused on key curriculum areas over a 25-week timeframe. Each session will last 60 minutes. We anticipate needing approximately 10 distinct lectures throughout this period, repeated 2-3 times to accommodate various time zones.
• Review sessions will concentrate on memorization techniques, study strategies, and recall practice, such as sharing mnemonic devices and memory tricks for specific topics, along with quizzing students through interactive games.
• Conduct engaging and motivational sessions aimed at enhancing student confidence in the material.
• Independently prepare for live sessions, dedicating up to 4 additional hours per week.
• Collaborate with Springboard to develop and adjust session agendas and lecture materials as required.
• Create gamified learning experiences utilizing tools like Kahoot and others.
• Provide 2-3 live session options for each topic to cater to different time zones.
• Conduct live skill demonstrations as necessary for 6 key lab skills.
• Assist in NHA ExCPT and PTCB exam preparation by conducting review sessions towards the course's conclusion.
• Address student inquiries and help moderate the online community channel throughout the course duration, specifically responding to questions related to course content.
• This may also involve monitoring Canvas discussion boards for weekly student interactions and questions.
• Utilizing your knowledge of best practices and effective methods for delivering Pharmacy Technician-aligned education online, apply your subject matter expertise in:
• Core pharmacy workflows and the development of entry-level technician skills.
• Pharmacy law, regulatory compliance, and principles of medication safety.
• Fundamentals of pharmacology, drug classifications, and brand/generic identification.
• Dosage calculations, conversions, and accuracy protocols.
• Customer service and patient-centered communication within pharmacy settings.
• Appropriate content depth for entry-level Pharmacy Technician training.
• The scope of practice for Pharmacy Technicians in retail and clinical environments.
• Strategies for replicating pharmacy workflows and skill-based training outside of a live pharmacy context.
• Distinguishing between “need-to-know” and “nice-to-know” information for ExCPT-aligned training.
• You may be required to:
• Collaborate with Springboard's Learning Experience team and Instructional Designers to modify session content as the need arises.
• Address other requirements as they emerge.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PharmD or a CPhT.
• Active PharmD or CPhT license and/or certification.
• Experience in teaching CPhTs in an online environment.
• Proficiency in using online teaching tools (e.g., Canvas, Zoom, Kahoot).
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills for large student audiences; students should leave the session feeling more confident and motivated than when they entered.
• A comprehensive toolkit of “memory and learning strategies” that you employ to teach CPhT topics such as Basic Pharmacology, Drug Classifications & Disease States, A&P, Pharmacy Law, Math, and more.
• Demonstrated student empathy, excellent communication skills, and a positive perspective on the PharmTech role and pharmacy career.
• Must reside and work in the United States.
