Certified Peer Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee care and/or manage activities aimed at enhancing members’ wellness and recovery.

• Recognize opportunities to involve members and families in establishing a supportive recovery network.

• Create and execute onsite psychiatric discharge-planning education at Recovery and Resiliency locations.

• Work in collaboration with Stabilization Teams as an advocate for members in discharge-planning education, overcoming barriers, and service transitions.

• Serve as a resource for staff regarding decision-making and problem-solving.

• Initiate and sustain communication with assigned individuals and providers to assess members’ responses to services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree (AA/AS) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in health services, behavioral health, or a peer support services position, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

• A valid, active certified peer support specialist certification is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of care coordination and case management concepts is highly preferred.

• BA/BS or MBA is preferred.

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM EST.

• Willingness to attend necessary in-person training sessions.

• Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the job location unless a legal accommodation is provided.

• New candidates in specific patient/member-facing positions must receive vaccinations against COVID-19 and Influenza unless a valid exemption is presented.
