This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Act as a caregiver for residents during designated work hours in a long-term care setting.
• Deliver resident-focused nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital sign monitoring, psychosocial support, and personal care needs.
• Help with transferring, repositioning, ambulating, range-of-motion exercises, and passive exercises.
• Complete food preparation and dining-related tasks.
• Support residents during meals and snacks while providing water and nutritional supplements.
• Assist healthcare providers and nursing staff with procedures as required.
• Record resident interactions and outcomes concerning care, behavior, activities, and dietary habits.
• Relay any changes in resident conditions and care issues to the charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive bodily fluid samples and monitor vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services as needed.
• Promote wellness and recreational programs while encouraging resident involvement.
• Travel to various locations within a 75-mile radius of your permanent residence.
• Engage in departmental or organizational committees and task forces as necessary.
• A minimum of 3 months of experience in Long Term Care is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Required to have Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or achieve state-certified CNA status within four months of starting the position through training program enrollment or endorsement certification.
• CNA training and certification are provided by the facility.
• Must satisfactorily complete annual department-specific competency testing.
• A minimum of 12 hours of continuing education is required annually.
• Must maintain all required department-specific certifications.
• Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry when applicable.
• QMAP certification from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment is required, depending on the facility.
• A valid driver’s license, motor vehicle report, and medical qualification for essential driving functions may be necessary, based on facility and job responsibilities.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory.
• An additional $7/hour premium on all hours worked.
• $1.25/hour differential for weekend shifts.
• $1.25/hour differential for evening/night shifts (from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
• CNA training and certification provided at no cost by the facility.
• Access to continuing education credits and annual competency assessments.
